Quartz countertops are manmade slabs of stone, which makes them incredibly hard and durable. They are highly resistant to scratches, chips, and stains, and they will last for many years.
With no holes or cracks in the stone, spills and liquids cannot soak into the countertops, which means they cannot be stained or harbor bacteria within the stone.
Countertops made of natural stone (such as granite or concrete) must have a sealant or wax coated on top of it. Quartz countertops don’t need that, making them extremely low-maintenance.
